Right Brain, Left Brain, Whole Brain

By Victoria W. McCurdy

Some kids are right-brain dominant. They're creative. They think out of the box. They dance and do art. They usually don't like math.Other kids are left-brain dominant. They take things apart to figure out how they work. They like order. They think about things and ask lots of questions. Math is often their favorite subject.Nothing wrong with this, except that school is generally a left-brain dominant institution, especially as kids progress on to high school and then college. Although we're getting better at teaching to individual differences in grade school, left-brain teaching remains the norm in high school.

But just in case you're asked that question about poetry any time soon, and you want to have something to say without spluttering in indignation, I thought I'd throw together a few little-know facts about the effect poetry has on children's brains (and ours, for that matter).

Left brain, right brain... Uh, what? We've all heard this division-of-the-brain theory many times. Personally, I can never remember which way around it goes, but then that probably means I'm a bit of a right-brainer! It all has to do with the way our brains process information, and which tasks get assigned to which parts of the brain, with the right brain supposedly being more 'artistic,' and the left being more of a computer.

Neuroscientists are now learning that, although some things can be fairly well localized, like motor function, our intellectual abilities are quite a bit more complex. For instance, did you know that your ability to speak is stored somewhere completely different from your ability to sing? There are documented cases of people who have become aphasic (unable to speak at all) but who can communicate well if they just SING the words out!

Our memories, our verbal skills and our understanding of meaning are spread through different areas of our brains, a complex network that we draw on without even - well - thinking! And this is where poetry finds a remarkable niche. Why do children memorize far more easily when they are given information in rhyme? Why do YOU still remember songs and poems that you learned when you were small? You probably even still use some of those mnemonics, and you're definitely passing them on to your own children, helping them to learn nursery rhymes and the letters of the alphabet that way.

he Nobel award winner of the year 1981, Roger W. Sperry revealed, we could lessen the effect of seizures by cutting the corpus, which is connects the two hemisphere. The right side of the brain is regarded as wonderful on creative tasks. Right brained people can very easily perform task like expressing emotions, playing musical instruments, recognizing images, faces, and colors, revealing strong intuitive, can read emotions and command on creativity. And the left brained are amazing in logical thinking, questioning, language and numerical subjects, and crucial thinking.

We usually think about why two people never think in a similar manner. Perceptions differ according to the individuals. The brain is in integral and crucial part of the human body. We all have got one brain, but even then why do we follow the concept of left brain and right brain? The different thinking between two people leads to the discovery of the left brain and right brain concept. Many researchers had come up with different theories, but they were unable to prove the concept.

Roger W. Sperry, an American psycho biologist, discovered and developed the concept of two brains - left brain and right brain theory. He successfully explained and proved people functioning of brain. It was found out that human brain has two different ways of thinking because of two unlike brain. The right side of the brain concentrates more on visual and images while, the left side of the brain deals with the verbal power. In more simple words, people thinking from left side of the bran are more logistical, objective, and methodical. While, the right brained people are more creative, subjective, and thoughtful.

"SEO" stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is a technique used by internet marketers and website owners to raise their pages as high in the ranks of the search engine's pages as possible. SEO can be utilized by anyone who wants to do Internet marketing, and you might be daunted by the number of methods that are out there for you to use. So how can you figure out what SEO method will work best for you?

The following information is designed to aid you in choosing those SEO methods that will create online success.|You can often be daunted by the demands that SEO makes on you. Besides, you can get dizzy figuring out all the different ways that search engines try to gauge your site's quality. Every month or so, you can see different types of page rankings, and you might find yourself several dozen pages further down the line than you were before, which can depend on how often the spiders find you. Like it not, SEO is a huge part of marketing on the internet. Figuring out the ins and outs of SEO will give you the best chance at succeeding in Internet business. Therefore, you'll want to use the following SEO tricks of the trade in your next online marketing venture.|No doubt you are coming to understand better exactly how critical it is to know how to employ SEO for your benefits, as you understand Internet marketing. Search Engine Optimization is what SEO stands for. Search Engine Optimization is one of the best tools available to internet marketers who run their own website, because it ensures the higher ranking of the page when someone searches for a particular word or phrase.

When you are first learning SEO, it might seem like a mystifying type of science or trickery. Really a great deal more goes on with this process than just deceiving the major search engines! You can use the tips hereafter to help you bring in more traffic to your page.

The best thing to do is use keyword phrases, rather than individual keywords. If you focus on a single word, you run the risk of over saturating your content with that word. Oversaturation is harder for the readers to sort through and it is usually something that the search engine spiders do not like to see.

You will not see success with search engine optimization immediately. After all, it takes more than a day to scour the whole Internet. There's too much room to cover! So do not get discouraged if you work really hard on your keywords and tags and your site takes a while to raise in the search engine rankings. Google has to take a little time to search through all of the sites out there. Anyone who offers to get you on to the front results page in only a day is lying to you. This remains impossible. Exercise caution. Don't consider changing from one SEO technique to another or building new content from scratch until you've allowed what you've already implemented to work for a few months. When using SEO, links can be one of the best things you can provide. You want high ranking websites to link to you so that you can raise in the ranks yourself. Not simply incoming links are weighed in the SEO universe, of course. You need to worry about the outbound links as well. Whatever your niche is, be sure to link it to a network of high ranking websites. Since these authors are going to be happy you linked to them, they will most likely link back to you. This will help your reputation grow in your niche as well as in the search engine rankings.

When your readers expect new content at your site on a regular basis, they will return often and end up purchasing more of your products and services. This is a part of SEO that is always consistent.

Just optimize one keyword at once, and you should be okay. For each page or post you write, work only with one keyword phrase. If you try to incorporate too many keyword phrases, your writing could end up not being readable at all. The whole point is that people can and want to read your text. If you end up with something else, what was the point? Trying to spam your posts with all keyword phrases will make the content low in quality, making visitors less likely to click on them. It cannot be said enough: readers matter more than search engine spiders!

Try not to fret about what rank your page or website gets. Even though you do want to get this number higher and higher, it's not going to be of good use to you if you sit and obsess about it every day. Page rank authority is re-calibrated every few months or so, so don't be surprised if your page fluctuates. What's more, the powers that be at Google, change the criteria for page rank authority all the time. Focus on writing a good and worthy site and your page will raise in the search engines with no problem! Because it is an incredibly hard thing to figure out all the ins and outs of SEO rules and things you can do to help, it may seem like you will never get a grasp of it. Not only that, these rules and regulations are always changing! But don't worry; you'll learn how to create search-engine- and reader-friendly content with a little up-front time spent researching and learning about SEO. Before long you could find yourself on the front pages of Google!

If you want to succeed in the world of Internet marketing, you should learn SEO through and through. Internet marketers are not limited in the ways they use SEO to increase traffic and sales. While some marketers try to pack as many SEO techniques into their content as possible, others prefer to focus on creating quality content that readers will understand and enjoy. Give yourself time to find which approach works best for you, use it often, and SEO will soon become second nature. SEO could even become a second nature to you, and you could be making minimal effort with maximum results!

Steps To EKG And Phlebotomy Training In Bronx

By Alyce Powell

If you are interested in a growing field in the medical field, consider getting EKG and phlebotomy training in Bronx. Although these are technically two different careers, many medical facilities are now using them together. Many schools are also offering them in a combined course.

A certified phlebotomist is one who gets blood samples from patients following the directions of a physician. The blood can be tested in a laboratory that analyzes it. Blood must also be taken and tested before a blood transfusion is given. The phlebotomist works under supervision of a medical technologist or a laboratory manager. In the past, this work was often done by a nurse, however, with today's very strict standards, most places prefer to hire someone who has been trained in the specialty of taking blood.

An EkG technician is trained to administer an electrocardiogram. This is done on a machine that measures electrical impulses transmitted by a patient's heart. The technician puts electrodes on specific areas of the body. They then get a printout that is given to the doctor for evaluation. This helps the doctor diagnose and treat heart and blood vessel problems. An EKG technician with more advanced studies can also do Holter monitoring and stress tests. These are tests that are monitored for at least twenty four hours or longer.

Training for these specialists takes from four months up to a period of two years. In most cases, it is closer to the two year time frame. It is important to find schools that are accredited who offer this course of study. A candidate should be at least eighteen years old and should have either a high school diploma or a GED.

With this course of studies, you will participate in classroom activities and actual hands on work experience. A portion of the classroom requirements may be available online. The hands on work will, of course, need to be done in a lab or medical facility. Most colleges will require studies in subjects like anatomy and communication skills. You need to be able to talk to and empathize with your patients.

It will be your responsibility to pay for the courses, the books, and a certification exam. However, many schools have some financial aid available for students. Those meeting specific criteria may qualify to receive financial aid.

Once you finish the classroom requirements and the practicum, an exam must be taken and passed to be officially certified. Once you have this certification, you are eligible to work in medical places like clinics, hospitals, health departments, doctor's offices, and labs. Before you are hired, you will probably have to undergo a criminal background check. They will also expected you to have updated vaccinations. Also expect to take a test for tuberculosis.

The jobs for those who have this experience is likely to grow substantially in the next several years. You will very likely find a job quite easily once you are certified. Receiving EKG and phlebotomy training in Bronx can lead to an excellent career. If you have an avid interest in working in a medical field, this is an excellent program to take.
