The following are some easy and popular remedies that are known to work in a short time after the victim has tried them.

The most common cure for hangover is water. One of the things that causes one to have headaches and feel fatigued after they have had some drinks is the fact that their bodies are usually dehydrated. This dehydration is caused by the alcoholic drinks hence adding water to the body can be able to reduce the effects. People who drink alcohol are advised to drink water in between their drinks to reduce the dehydration.

When one is feeling tired due to the hangover effects, its normally because many of the important vitamins and minerals get lost because of the alcohol. Nonetheless, by eating fruits and also vegetables with these important nourishments one may be able to avert the effects of alcohol. The best fruits are the citrus since they have both water and the required nourishments to stock up the body.

Many people make the mistake of taking caffeine maybe in form of tea or coffee after they have taken a lot of alcohol. These drinks continue with the dehydration instead of hydrating the body hence this will increase the headaches and the fatigue. However, they can take a weak cup of coffee as this does not have a lot of effect on the body.

Showering is also a good way of making one feel better when they have a hangover. The water, whether hot or cold, will be able to clean them up and also wake up their senses. People who simply lie around when they feel the effects of alcohol have a harder time getting rid of this feeling. They are also required to do some exercise as this will help their minds and bodies to feel better.

People are advised to avoid taking pain killers when the reason they are feeling their headaches is because of the alcohol they took. Some of the side effects of most common pain killers such as aspirin become more serious if they are mixed with alcohol. In the morning after taking alcohol, it is likely to still be in the system hence taking medicine is dangerous.

Some people believe that taking another drink the next morning is the best remedy for a hangover. What they fail to understand is that the hangover is there in the first place because alcohol is toxic. Taking another glass may help but it will hurt in the long-run.

However, prevention is always better than cure. The best way to prevent that annoying headache in the morning is to drink with moderation. Staying away from alcohol completely is the best option but with the Christmas season, one may never know when they will fall off the wagon. In case anything happens, all the remedies mentioned above may be helpful.
