What Are The New Facebook Trends For T-Shirt Designs For 2014?

By Ben Khatib

T-shirt trends reflect what people are thinking about and talking about, so there is a real cultural movement involved here. Last years T-styles just aren't going to make the grade, so here are some of the new trends that are emerging for 2014.

Shaping up as a dominant trend are bold and colorful designs and texts as marketers attempt to brand their products and get them out there to the public. The attempt to show logos as clearly and distinctly as possible will be the trend for 2014. In contrast, the minimalist technique will continue to be popular, as it sets the stage for one topic, one subject and one that will be noticed. Minimalism sports a simple design such as a shape, an object or a funky text the promotes the idea quite simply, but boldly.

The "cute" characters that flourished in the 90s is on the way back. The fashion industry sees a trend well worth revisiting, as people like characters and cute kawaii is always recognized somewhere. So be on the lookout for this to happen during the first half of 2014.

Tee shirt designs have always been about the niche identification strength that a T-Shirt logo or text has. Clubs, towns, statements, organizations, and groups can all have their own t-shirt or series of the same to call attention to the organization.

It will be interesting to see the varieties of tees that spring forth to enlighten the world with all their splendor this coming summer.

One color designs take us back to the original days when sports teams all had a one color statement with the team logo or design being the prominent focal point. For screen printing, this is a more inexpensive way of doing things, but it is probably the nostalgia of yesteryear that has something to do with this trend as well. In 2013 chalkboard art was big with its hand-drawn look and its ability to draw attention. Craft-drawn text is in and catchy in its look and will command a large share of the market for the coming year for sure.
